andraeanum With dry leaves

Old Leaves are dying and partly went dry from the edge. Flowers had drought out. New leaves also turned yellow soon and wilted and dry out. Any possible reason?

  • Hello again, Yancia!

It looks almost like your anthurium has gotten a sunburn! They, just like the calathea in your previous post, like to stand in a lit place but not in direct sunligt. It could also be due to uneven watering, which is why the new leaves doesn't grow much either.

Anthurium plants like moist, loamy soil, and like your calathea needs to be checked so that it doesn't get dry. It shoud also be spritzed with water ever so often to keep the humidity high.

The flowers, meanwhile, will eventually wilt. That's the case for all flowering plants, but if you care for it properly then it should grow new ones. Just remember to repot your plants with some new soil, be extra vigilant with your water, and keep it away from the direct sunligt.

    Good luck!
