Klätterhortensia

Hej! I bought climbing hydrangea yesterday and I'm wondering if I can plant it in my garden now (before winter) or should I wait until spring?

  • Hey Mateja!

Thank you for the question. It's actually better to plant it in the garden right away. Most plants do much better when they get more soil around the roots compared to being in a pot during the winter. You can actually do planting in the garden as long as the soil is soft enough to dig (not frozen, I mean). But it can be a good idea to cover the plants, planted late autumn a little bit extra during the winter with leaves and branches, for example.

Hope this answers the question. Have a great day! 🌻
